Annual Planning Meeting
  • The annual adult leader planning meeting will be Sunday, August 10 at the Fruitland Fire Department from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Please attend this important meeting. A pot luck dinner will follow the business portion of the meeting. The Troop will provide a meat entre for sandwiches, plates, and tableware. People with last names A – K are asked to bring a salad and people with names L – Z are asked to bring a desert.

    Jackson Homecomers Clean Up
  • Thanks to all Scouts and parents who assisted in the clean up activities at Homecomers.

    Scout Physicals
  • All Scouts need to have a current Class 1 physical form on file with the troop. This is the form that your parents fill out with general health information. The physical form is linked below, print it out and fill it out and get it to Craig Farris as soon as possible.
    Class 2 Form (for Summer Camp need every 3 years) you will need this one on your 1st, 3rd etc years of camp.
    Class 1 Form (needed each year unless you need a Class 2)

    Jackson Homecomers Clean Up
  • Troop 311 performs an important and highly visible community service by helping to pick up trash around the courthouse during the annual Jackson Homecomers event. Each Scout in the Troop is expected to participate according to the duty roster given below. Wear your Class B t-shirts. Each person should bring gloves and a large trash bag. Meet at the fountain by the courthouse at 9:00 p.m. Clean up should be done by 10:00 p.m.

    • The next campout is next weekend Nov.7th-9th at S-F Scout Ranch, the cost of the campout is 15.50.

    • Popcorn order forms were given out, sales start Sept.26-Oct.17-Delivery on November 1ST.
    • Checking tents for damage this Saturday Sept.27, at Associated Sheet Metal from 10:00AM thru 12:30.

    • The next Philmont trip will be Aug. 8-20th, 2005. You have to be 14 by January 1st, 2005 or complete the 8th grade by the time you leave for Philmont. If your scout is interested in going to Philmont there is a meeting for parents and scouts to get more information and to start the planning for this trip on January 19. At this time if you plant to attend, be prepared to pay a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot.
    • Saturday Jan. 24 - Den Chief training 8:30-3:30. The training will be held at Dempster Hall (on the corner of New Madrid and Henderson in Cape Girardeau), The cost of the training is $9.00 for scouts and no charge for Adults.
    • Friday Jan. 30 - District Recogniton Dinner at KC Hall Jackson, MO.
    • Feb. 6 & 7 - Sports Campout - Friday night Roller Skating 6-11 PM, Saturday morning Show-Me Center, Saturday afternoon SEMO vs. Murray State Basketball Game.
    • Saturday Feb. 21 - Merit Badge University at SEMO University. The cost is $12 each. Cover Letter   Merit Badges Offered

At this time if you plant to attend, be prepared to pay a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot.
    • Den Chief training is Saturday January 24th 2004, 8:30 -3:30. The training will be held at Dempster Hall (on the corner of New Madrid and Henderson in Cape Girardeau), The cost of the training is $9.00 for scouts and no charge for Adults.

    Cherokee Merit Badge Workshop Saturday Dec. 8 - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (bus departs from Country Mart parking lot at 7:15 AM) at the First Christian Church in Sikeston, MO. 1006 North Main, next to the Missouri Delta Medical Center.     • Monday May 17 - Meeting at Jackson Park at the Pavilion by the Tennis Courts (off Route D). New scouts wear tennis shoes and we will be going to the park to work finish Tenderfoot Requirement #10.
    • Sunday May 23 - Court of Honor - 4:00 PM at the American Legion Hall.
    • Sunday May 24 - Regular Troop Meeting 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church.
    • Tuesday May 27th - Makeup day - CPR training (Red Cards) 7:00 PM at the Jackson Fire Station. This training is required for any swimming activities at Summer Camp.
    • Memorial Day - Monday May 31 (Flag Duty)
